Dr. Josh Phelps actively serves as a vocal care coach whose expertise meets the needs of singers, stage actors, announcers, and auctioneers. With more than 25 years of experience as a professional singer, conductor, teacher, ministry professional, and auctioneer, auction professionals commonly refer to him as The Worlds’ Most Interesting Auctioneer.

Teaching

Dr. Phelps has taught applied voice lessons at The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City Community College and draws great satisfaction from a high rate of student success in academic placement and scholarship auditions. Outside of Academia, Dr. Phelps works with a wide range of elite clientele including professional singers and stage actors, auctioneers, and voiceover artists.

Clinics, Performances, & Presentations

Josh is in high demand as a presenter and lecturer on the production and care for the professional voice. In addition to his applied teaching, clinics, and masterclasses in music Josh has presented vocal care workshops at The Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association, The Missouri Professional Auctioneers Association, and the Arkansas Auctioneers Association. In addition to coaching and consulting individual professionals and mentoring beginning auctioneers, Josh serves on faculty for the Oklahoma Auctioneer School and Auctioneer University in Tennessee. He is also in demand as a professional singer and announcer. His most recent engagements include announcing at several car auctions(2020-Present), performing the National Anthem at the National Auctioneers Association Conference and Show (2023), and singing with the Solo Trumpet of the Rome Opera House in Italy (2024).
